Martin Harwood - Business Consultant & Author
Martin Harwood (born December 8, 1966) was born and raised in British Columbia, Canada. He has over two decades of entrepreneurial experience with close to half of those being a CEO in the public sector.

Martin is not your typical Internet businessman; he is an entrepreneur with hands on experience in starting and building companies. His remarkable ability to combine creativity with business strategy allows him a unique insight into the world of Internet marketing and its trends making him one of the top online business advisors.

Martin has had a mind for business since he was in primary school and began running his own business at the tender age of 7. His love of computers and everything business had him programming on the, now archaic, TRS-80 before programming was considered a 'real job'. With this innate talent for computers and technology there was a natural progression from Martin's electronics repair business Technocon Industries in the 1980s to building Web sites under Okanagan Connect in the 90s.

In 1998 Martin took Okanagan Connect public where it transformed into Wavefire Technologies, a Web design and development company. While working as CEO, Martin developed and marketed web sites for national and international companies including autotrader.com and One Second Plumber. He gained experience in this industry by guiding companies through concept, design, development and marketing, and it has made him an accomplished Internet strategist.

Having retired from the public sector in 2003, he began AntHillPress and JustMakeItEasy.com to allow him to continue relaying his understanding of the online business cycle to professionals or simply guiding those just wanting to give their site a lift. Wanting to reach and help even more struggling business people, Martin wrote Landing Page Optimization for Dummies (October 2009) with his brother, Mike. This book project was taken on to fulfill the desperate need for knowledge that Martin sees each day in his consulting.

Today you will find Martin, coffee in hand, coaching corporations and entrepreneurs on how to develop and promote their online business. He guides them through the business development, online marketing and planning phases.
